Laurence Aston is a manager, music publisher and business affairs adviser to several leading composers of screen and theatre music, including the distinguished Japanese film composer Shigeru Umebayashi (‘In The Mood For Love’; ‘House of Flying Daggers’; ‘Ghost of Tsushima’) and the British composer Adrian Sutton, creator of the music for the National Theatre productions of ‘War Horse’ and ‘The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time’. He is also the manager of the Grammy and Academy Award-winning singer Jennifer Warnes.

Aston is a co-director of Asian Music Publishing, representing songwriters, composers, lyricists and copyright holders of music of Asian and British Asian origin. Alongside his music publishing and management business, Aston is currently a Lecturer in Music Business at the Royal College of Music, London, where he gives a series of copyright and contract seminars to post-graduates in screen composition.
